Why take your school trip to Madonna / Folgarida?
Nestled in a beautiful valley between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello and Presanella, Madonna di Campiglio is a well established resort with great skiing, particularly for beginners, intermediates and snowboarders. There are a variety of picturesque runs, mainly above the treeline, and the ski area extends to include Folgarida, Marilleva, Passo Tonale, and Andalo with an area lift pass.
The centre is well equipped with everything from cafe's to Michelin starred restaurants and lots of Apres ski activity options.
The resort will celebrate it's 70th birthday in 2018, and if you were to plan a trip for January 2018, you may even bump into the Ferrari F1 or Ducati motorbike teams on their annual jolly!
Madonna is also the main point of access to the Brenta Dolomites, with its famous via ferrata, with the ski lift to the Passo Groste taking you directly to the northern end of the via ferrata network.

Madonna / Folgarida Accommodation
Hotel Cristallo ★★★★
This super family-run hotel is in the centre of town and overlooks a small artificial lake (an ice rink throughout the high season), the other side of which, a mere 5 minutes walk, are lifts straight onto the slopes.
Rooms are spacious and well appointed, some with mountain views, and the restaurant is very good at catering for food allergies whilst serving delicious traditional regional fayre.
Hotel Activ ★★★
Located in the top part of Folgarida, the hotel lies on the blue run that takes to the gondola. The hotel manager is very friendly and efficient, with many years experience dealing with British school groups.
There 38 ensuite bedrooms accommodating 2-5 persons each, some with balconies! All rooms are equipped with a TV, safe and hairdryer. The hotel features a restaurant, bar, meeting room and provides ski storage. The food is excellent and lunches are served in the restaurant on the slopes.
