Extras to budget for

All our European Ski programmes are 6 day ski packages. Therefore lift passes, ski hire and lessons are all for 6 days. Four hours of lessons are included in your programme which can be extended to 5 or 6 hours per day. The number and time of sessions is solely the choice of the ski school.

Snowboarding teaching ratios are lower, therefore a supplement is payable for snowboard groups. Snowboarding groups can only be accepted in exact groups of 8 of the same ability or a supplement will be payable.

Coaches contracted by Voyager School Travel comply with all relevant UK and European legislation, including those laws concerning seatbelts on coaches and drivers hours. All air, rail and sea transportation complies with regulations set down by the appropriate Maritime and Coastguard agency, Civil Aviation Authority or equivalent regulatory body.

School Travel Forum

Voyager School Ski is an Assured Member of the School Travel Forum (STF) and in booking with us you can be secure in the knowledge that we:

  • Understand and facilitate the needs of educational travel
  • Have effective Safety Management Systems in place, specifically focused on travelling with young students
  • Offer fair terms and conditions and the best financial security

To ensure our health and safety standards are maintained our systems and procedures are fully audited annually by independent experts. STF membership is the benchmark for good school tour providers; consequently it is an Awarding Body for the prestigious Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

The Outdoor Education Advisors Panel (OEAP) endorses the Quality Badge and requests Local Authorities to recommend the use of Badged Providers and require the minimum of additional paperwork where Quality Badge accreditation is in place.

This means that you can book your trip with confidence, meet your due diligence and reduce the amount of External Provider paperwork necessary.

Inspection visits

We realise you may well want to visit the centre before leading your group there, so you can plan your programme and complete any necessary risk assessment of your accommodation and itinerary.

If you wish to make an advance visit to your chosen destination we can assist with the cost.

What to pack? The ultimate kit list for your students

So your school ski trip is booked and the countdown is on. To help you plan your trip, or more importantly, ensure your students are well prepared, we have created a comprehensive kit list for you to share with your group.

Of course, everyone will have items they require specific to themselves, but hopefully this list will give you and your students a good idea of what to take with you (or not!) for a smooth and enjoyable holiday.

If you have any questions please contact the team.

You can download the kit list here.
